Berlin Super Kings ("we", "us", "the club") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we handle personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

1. Who is responsible

The data controller for this website is Berlin Super Kings. For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@berlinsuperkings.com. Full contact details are on our Imprint page.

2. This website collects minimal data

This is a static informational website. We do not run advertising trackers, build user profiles, or sell data. Specifically:

  • We do not require you to create an account or log in.
  • We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
  • We store a single piece of data in your browser's local storage to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice. This never leaves your device. See our Cookie Policy.

3. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). Like all web hosts, GitHub may automatically process technical information such as your IP address and browser type in server logs to deliver the site securely. This processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing a functioning, secure website. See GitHub's privacy statement.

4. Fonts and embedded content

We load web fonts from Google Fonts and may embed a Google Maps frame on the Contact page. When these load, your browser contacts Google servers, which may receive your IP address. We use them only to display the site as intended (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you prefer not to load Google Maps, you can avoid the Contact page or use a tracker-blocking browser extension.

5. When you contact us

If you email us or message us on social media, we process the personal data you provide (such as your name and email address) solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to administer your membership. The legal basis is your consent and/or steps taken at your request prior to entering an agreement (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). We keep this correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request erasure ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time; and
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Berlin, the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

To exercise any right, email hello@berlinsuperkings.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
